K-Pop Fashion

The Filipino fans not only developed an interest in the Koreanovelas or K-Pop music and bands, but also the likeness towards the Korean fashion. This Korean fashion trend exploded among the students who love to be hip and chic and be “In” with the new. Even sometimes it may look weird for other, they don’t care at all. As long as they tried to be Koreans, by imitating the Korean haircuts, wearing K-Pop clothes that mostly are warm in the body and not suitable to our country’s climate. They also love wearing bling-bling/accessories, large with different shape and colourful sunglasses, and usually huge looking colourful shoes.

K-Pop Filipino Version

In response to the Filipinos growing addiction towards Korean Popular (K Pop). Philippine Music industry also makes its own version of K Pop Groups. Like “Pop Girls” and “XLR8” A K Pop male group version in the Philippines. This makes a variety of reaction from the Filipino audiences, especially Filiipino fans. Some have negative reaction about another copy, while some felt glad about the brave move of the Philippine Music industry.

"XLR8"

XLR8 is a sing and dance boy group in the Philippines under VIVA Records' P-Pop Label. XLR8 is composed of Arkin del Rosario, Carlo Lazerna, the identical twins MJ and MM Magno, AJ Muhlach, Kiko Ramos,Hideaki Torio and Caleb Santos. They are regularly seen on the Sunday noontime variety show Party Pilipinas aired on GMA 7.

“Pop Girls”

POP GIRLS indeed is the new face of music and sound of Philippine Pop Music. The teenage group is undoubtedly at par, or even better than the rest of the Asian groups which continue to invaded the music scene today. POP GIRLS seals the country's rightful claim to P-POP as the new nickname for Philippine Pop Music to reflect the youthful flair of the group and the music, very much in the tradition of Korea's K-Pop and Japan's J-POP.
Philippine pop music goes through a refreshing rebirth with the emergence of the newest girl group of five teenage scene with compelling charm, striking style and total talent.
The fabulous five who make up POP GIRLS are twins Lai and Mar, both aged 16 and half Lebanese; Half Filipino, half Dutch Rose, 13 years old; Half Filipino, half Swiss Schai, 14 years old; the only pure Filipino in the group.
Though coming from various lineages, the girls perfectly jive together to form a melodic clique that is POP GIRLS. This impression is also very much in tune with the album the girls are now working on.

K-Pop Female Group and their K-Pop Songs

Recently through, “Korean Popular Music or K-Pop” is the more Korean cultural Products across the world that also affects the Filipinos and they already loved the K-Pop music. I’m confused why i often hear sort of Filipinos singing K-Pop music and going to a K-Pop band concert, because i assumed that they don’t understand Korean language. And that’s how I see that there is really a Korean wave in our country.

I listed K-Pop Female Group and their K-Pop songs that are Chart toppers and some done a concert in the Philippines that Filipinos go after.

  “Wonder Girls”

Believe it or not but I think you would agree with me that because of the song “Nobody ” of Wonder Girls is the reason why Filipino started to patronized the K-Pop Groups and their  Music.

“2en1”

Do you still remember Sandara Park as the “Famous Krung Krung” in our country? Now she’s gaining a huge popularity in Korea when she entered in the Music Industry.
